Olde Town Arvada Real Estate: A Buyer’s Guide to Living in Arvada, CO

Home » Blog » Olde Town Arvada Real Estate: A Buyer’s Guide to Living in Arvada, CO

Olde Town Arvada is where Arvada started, and it’s still the heart of the city: a historic main street, a commuter rail stop, and blocks of homes within walking distance of it all. If you’re browsing homes for sale in Arvada, CO, it’s usually the first neighborhood buyers ask us about. As an Arvada real estate team with our office right on Grandview Avenue, these are the blocks we know best. Here’s what buyers want to know about Olde Town Arvada real estate before they start touring.

Getting around: rail to downtown in about 25 minutes

The RTD G Line stops at Olde Town Arvada Station at 7430 Grandview Ave., just south of the main street. The ride to Denver Union Station takes roughly 25 minutes, which makes downtown an easy trip without a car or a parking bill.

The station has a parking structure for drivers, and the line continues west to Arvada Ridge and Wheat Ridge/Ward. By car, Wadsworth Boulevard and I-70 are minutes away, and the foothills are a short drive west.

Things to do: a walkable historic main street

Olde Town’s core runs along Grandview Avenue and Olde Wadsworth Boulevard, with restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, boutiques and galleries in turn-of-the-century storefronts. The Arvada Beer Garden opened in July 2025 and has become a regular gathering spot.

The square hosts farmers markets, live music and seasonal festivals through the year. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is about a five-minute drive for concerts, theater and gallery shows, and the Ralston Creek Trail gives runners and cyclists a path that links into the wider metro trail network.

Olde Town Arvada homes: historic character to new builds

Buyers in and around Olde Town will find a real mix:

  • Historic homes: early-1900s bungalows and cottages on tree-lined streets closest to the main street
  • Mid-century ranches: brick ranches on larger lots, many updated with open kitchens and finished basements
  • Townhomes and condos: newer construction near the rail station, often low-maintenance with attached garages

Walkability is the big draw, so homes within a few blocks of Grandview tend to get attention fast. If you want to be in that zone, get pre-approved and ready to move when the right one hits.
